You found a Langley Billups that could be the father of Anne (b. 1749) m. Joseph Jennings? Please tell me more. Meanwhile here is all that I have found to date on the subject:

Here are some results of searches for Langley Billups on the web that could be a descendants of a brother to Anne Billups (b. 1749):

Langley Billups christened 18 Mar 1770 Kington Parish, Gloucester, VA, father Thomas Billups, mother Mildred Lilly
Langley Billups birth 1818 North Carolina
Langley Billups married Martha Ann Wilson 14 Sep 1841 Perquimans, NC

-- Thomas Billups married Mildred Lilly 16 Jun 1769 Kingston parish, Episcopal Church, Gloucester VA
-- Dorothy Billups (daughter of Richard Billups) married John Lilly about 1690 VA. Richard Billups will was proved in Gloucester Co VA in 1752.
-- Joseph Billups son of John Billups b. 1660 m. Mary Glasscock. Joseph b. 1697 Gloucester Co Mojack Bay VA m. Margaret Lilly b. 1700 Gloucester Co, VA d. 1770. Children: Robert b.1720, Joseph Jr b.1723, Christopher, Edward b. 1735.
-- Elizabeth Billups married John Lilly III 1699 Charles Parish VA. Their daughter Margaret Lilly b. 1700 m. Joseph Billups Sr. in Lunenburg or Glouster Co VA.
-- Mary Billups m. William Jennings of Halifax Co VA late 1700's [Wm son of John son of Wm & Mary Pulliam Jennings)
-- Thomas Williams m. Mary Lilly Billups, dau of Joice Respess & Joseph Billups II, son of John Billups & Mary Lilly.
-- John Billups m. Mary Lilly 31 Mar 1757
-- Thomas Billups m. Mildred Lilly 16 Jan 1769

(I speculate that Thomas & Anne were siblings and maybe their mother was a Langley?)

Also, the book "The Georgia Bealls and their Kinfolk" by Burtie Beall Cummins
Her Bealls are related to our Billups somehow. Dr. Elias Beall & Ann Billups Jennings (b. 1805) of Walton Co GA named a son Robert Augustus Beall which is the SAME NAME as the father of Susan Millicent Beall & Elizabeth Rebecca Beall (who married Billups brothers) yet Elias is never mentioned in the list of their siblings.

Sarah Millicent Beall m. John Billups who was also of Walton Co, GA, so it seems very likely to me that Elias and Susan were brother & sister or 1st cousins at the least.

Susan Millicent Beall's sister Elizabeth Rebecca married John Billups' brother, Robert. Robert & John Billups were native of SC, sons of William & Mary Richardson Billups (she was the daughter of Genl Richardson of SC). Other siblings were Richard Richardson Billups, Ann Ransom Billups, Letitia Eugenia Billups, Dorcas Billups, & Mary Billups.

From "Lineage of Chovine Richardson Clark, Manning, South Carolina" by Chovine R. Clark:
Robert & John's father William Billups d. 1817 in Athens GA. He was son of Robert Billups b. 1720 VA (& Anne Ransome m. 1755) moved to SC & GA, son of Joseph Billups b. 1697 VA (& Margaret Lilly), son of John Billups b. 1660 (& Mary Glasscoe), son of George Billups b. 1630 England. Came to Colony of VA & patended 750 acres in Gloucester County & married Sarah in 1655.

From "Your Billups Ancestors" by Dr. Joseph E. Billups
Joseph, elder son of John & Mary Glascook Billups m. Margaret Lilly had 4 sons:
Robert (1720-1795) m. Anne Ransome in 1755
Joseph II b. 1723 m. Nancy
Christopher (1725-1789) m. Ruth
Edward (1735-1822)(the subject of the sketch)

This book says that before John married Mary Glascook, he had a wife, name unknown and by her had a son named John. John married Ann Avery and had 10 children (see Appendix I), and then in 1781 married the widow of long-time associate William Lilly, Lucy. [I don't have Appendix I and would welcome the names of those 10 children. John seems like a very possible ancestor to Anne Billups.]

Back to the son's of Joseph, son of John & Mary Glascook:
Robert and Anne married too late to be Anne's (who married Joseph Jennings) parents. But I wonder about Joseph & Nancy ____. Could Nancy be a Langley?

Joseph Jennings and Anne Billups had a daughter Anne (Nancy) b. Dec. 1770. She married Cuffe Joe Jennings. Do you know which Jennings clan he belongs to?
