David:

I looked at your genealogy Web site last night and I was just amazed.

First, it *did* list the Joseph fl 1800-1820 PA and his offspring, including my GG-grandfather John m Lucy Ann Crow.

And it connected that Joseph through four generations to "Old Joseph" fl MD1671. We have been trying to validate that link for almost 15 years. (When I say "we", I'm referring to my brother, Ralph, and I, using information from several other intrepid Billiter researchers in or near our line.)

A cursory trip through the Joseph Billiter descendancy chart on your Web page leads me to believe that we are using very different sources, but with only unimportant disagreements. I'll cite a few.

You know Joseph fl MD 1670 m Elizabeth Fuller. We, at best, knew that his spouse was Elizabeth. We know that he arrived MD in 1671 from CH (Switzerland)..

You have Elizabeth Dobbs as Noah Billiter's wife. We know her to be Eleanor Dobbs, sometimes Ellen.

Your referecce to Lewis 1833-1923 m
Hannah Waytes: we didn't know about the (John) in Lewis' name, and the spelling "Waytes" is new, though we have at least two other variants referring to the same wife of Lewis Billiter.

John and Lucy Ann Crow Billiter's 3rd child, that you have as "Euphasine" is known to us as Euphemia.

All that to support the hypothesis that we are using different sources.

So, yes, we should compare notes.

Best, cousin Jim - Jim@Billiter.com

P.S. What is our relationship?
