Thanks for the follow up. Here are a couple of thoughts for your consideration:

1. Several of the Phelps / Philips family were also Quakers.

2. Regarding John Billiard: I checked the entries out at the Balch Libary, the vessel he arrived on was from England. If this is too early do you have a written entry for Joseph? I have seen some mention made of the 1650 timeframe.

3. Agreed that John, Mary and Grace Billet could not be Joseph's children, at least from the Elizabeth Fuller marriage. There is a reference to John Billiter ca. 1674. Can these be siblings / and a mother (Grace) of Joseph?

4. Elizabeth's maiden name is found in a power of attorney dated 1674.

5. I agree that 14 years is an aggessive timeframe for the acquisitions. I also agree there is more to the story.
