Yes, Mary A. Wells and Mary A. W. Ellison are the same person. Mary married Calvin Ellison on 6 July 1899 at Logan, Harrison, Iowa, which was after William had died. Source: Harrison County, Iowa Marriage Records, 1853-1926. Volume 1, pg 256. Family History Library film #1513295. The record indicated that it was the second marriage for both individuals. It also said that Mary's father was Levi Wells and her mother was Mahalia Caststed.
