I went back to the data I have and the information that has been provided recently, via this forum, regarding Mark Billiter and his wife Mary. According to the Marriage records of Stokes County, North Carolina ca. 1810 there are two entries for Mark Billeter:
Mark Billeter married Polly Owens January 5, 1810.
Mark Billeter married Nancy Shelton February 22, 1810
As we have seen from additional sources Mark married Mary Patterson (date Unknown).
It appears that Mark probably had more than one wife, I've been told he had at least twelve children. Elijah Billiter, Marks first son was born in 1811, Mary Patterson was born 1796. Anyway I have searched the records I have and cannot find a date for the marriage of Mark and Mary. The first time they show up for me is the 1850 Indiana census. I have a James Billiter in Indiana in 1842 from another source. I will keep searching.
