Folks,
I know it's tacky to follow-up oneself, and even tackier to shout in capital letters. But this deserves some attention.
There are two glaring mistakes in my last post on this subject from about 2-1/2 years ago. I was citing what Marsha Bovey concluded around 1981, and a portion is now not just 'in doubt', but is believed contradicted.
1) Old Joe (arrived MD 1671) was probably from England, not Switzerland.
2) His son Edward, who at the time seemed to live to to be 112, is really three generations of Edward Billiters.
I apologize for passing on doubtful information, but it was the best we knew at the time.
