I can tell you what I know so far. I am a descendent of John Billington and my Dad did some research a few years ago....

John Billington was born ca 1580, probably in Lincolnshire, England. His wife’s name was Elinor. The earliest record of John Billington comes from a 1612 lease of 29 acres. Billington’s two sons, John Jr. and Francis were named as heirs in this lease. I believe it was their uncle who named them as heirs in this lease. Pick up a copy of the following book for more information:

Harriet Hodge, Mayflower Families through Five Generations: Edward Winslow and John Billington, Volume 5 (Plymouth: General Society of Mayflower Descendants, 1991)
