I am looking for information (any and all, location, parents, etc.) for Benjamin Pate (b. 1774/80 - d. 1830 +/-).
There apparently are very few remaining direct descendents of Benjamin Pate that carry the last name of Pate. (4 sixth generation males (born 1986 and later with the last name Pate) (there are 3 fifth generation males (born 1950's/60's)). I have most/many of the siblings of the second generation and forward so I will just include my direct bloodline. I would be glad to verify or expand on any of the branches that I reference below if you would like. Please email if so.
(Spellings seem to fluctuate so any assistance to ("C" in Drusilla, "T" in Johnson (or with an "e"), Rodgers or Rogers?, etc) - Any help there would be appreciated.
Benjamin Pate was married to Drusilla Johnson who were the parents of
Edwin J. Pate who married Catharine Ann Campbell who were the parents of
William Washington Pate who married Mary Alice Rogers were the parents of
Edwin Marion Pate who married Gertrude Williamson who were the parents of
John Edwin Pate who married Mary Ann Sharpe
who to this day regret :) having:
Me - Daniel W. Pate
I have to believe my best source of research will come from the "Non Pate Named" anscestors of William Washington Pate's Siblings (the children of E.J Pate and C.A. Campbell) since the 'Pate Name" of the tree pretty much shrivels up after that.
