Hello Emma: I know just how you feel. Working with a friend of mine, I just recently found the names and birth dates in the Davis book did not match up with actual court records for my Samuel..but that's another story. I did find some Shannon/Billingsley marriage dates posted in "Early TN marriages" in Ancestry.com . This may help you sort out locations by using the Shannon line. According to the posting, Joseph Shannon m. Mary Billingsley 24 Nov 1792 in Davidson Co TN. Rachel Shannon m. Samuel Billingsley in double wedding with brother on 26 May 1800 in Logan Co. KY. Samuel Shannon m. Margaret Billingsley also on 26 May 1800 in Logan Co. Emma, who do you show as James Billingsley's spouse? Is it Ann Rhea? There are so many James's !!!!.
