Howdy. I came across Capt Jesse while looking for my Billingsleys (he's not connected directly to our line). I copied a note I found in the San JAcinto web site a year or so ago. "Jesse was a Capt of Co. C, 1st Regiment of TX (Mina) Volunteers at the Battle of San Jacinto April 20-21 1836. He was wounded in the fight and recovered."

I also found him in the Bastrop Co Census for TX in 1850. Living as a farmer. Eliza Ann Winans was his wife. They were m. 15 Jan 1847 but I don't know where. Most likely TX. She was from IL as I recall. Roz rcol2000@aol.com
