I am in search of a Dicy WALKER (maiden name presently unknown) and her husband, --- WALKER.
According to "The BILLINGSLEY Family In America," by H. A. DAVIS, (c)1936, Pg. 203, Dicy was b. in N.C. in 1830. At the time of her marriage with Nathaniel BILLINGSLEY (b. 1819, TN) she had 2 children: William WALKER (b. 1848, AR) and Elizabeth WALKER (b. 1851, AR). Nathaniel had one child from his previous marriage by the name of Canzada BILLINGSLEY.
In census records we have seen William WALKER's place of birth shown as Mississippi.
We have also seen Elizabeth WALKER's place of birth shown as Texas.
If this is our Mary Elizabeth WALKER, she married Robert LIPSEY abt. 1867, probably in Little River Co., AR. They had at least three children: Samuel B., John H., and William R. LIPSEY. Robert died some time around 1875, and she remarried to Smith Cornelius RUNYAN in 1879.
We presently have no information about William and Elizabeth's father, --- WALKER. Any and all help on this lineage would be most appreciated.
