I have several Samuel's in my tree, the first was the fifth son of John & Jane (Millsap) Billingsley b. in Washington Co. TN 2-11-1779; later moving to Jackson Co., TN, a number of Counties in West TN, Simpson Co., KY. Franklin, AR (Izard Co.) He m. Ruth Hale, later Elizabeth Lewis and then Elizabeth Carr McJunkin Morris. He served one term in the AR legislature, served as Co & Probate Judge in Fulton Co., AR and was a JP. History often refers to him as Judge Samuel to seperate him from other Samuel's in the line. He died 2-24-1882.

His children were:
Alfred Carter b. 1810; John b. 1812; Jane b. 1814; Reuben b. 1816; Nathan b. 1818; Joshua b. 1820; Mary b. 1822; Jesse died an infant; Samuel Edward b. 1832; James Amos b. 1833; Harvey b. 1835; Milton b. 1837; Elizabeth Agnes b. 1839; Margaret Jane b. 1839; Francis Marion b. 1843; William b. 1849.

I connect to him thru Nathan. And several of his sons names thier sons Samuel.

Does any of this sound like your family? I look forward to hearing from you.
