Emma, I have the same problem with James Billingsley. My wife is a descendant of Andrew Carnahan and Eilzabeth Billinglsey. A religeous revival took place in the Gaspar river area at the time the Billingsleys and Carnahans lived in that area of Logan Co. By 1810 most of them had left the area. Andrew Carnahan went back to Tennessee, a number of Billingsleys and Carnahans went to Alabama, and the same group later went on to Arkansas. I believe the answer will be found in the historical records of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. John Carnahan (Andrews brother) supposedly became a minister for that denomination.
