You mentioned in a posting reply that you have data on the Billinghurst Family.
I have been reading every known Ohio paper trying to find this until my eyes were beyond bloodshot!
I have been looking for over 5 years. Gee, do I wish I would have read your posting a long time ago!
"Jack" Billinghurst is married to my (husband's) great aunt - Martha Jane Dillon.
Perhaps you have info on this line and his kids by now, perhaps not. I have looked at the guardianship papers for the kids when I was at Vinton County, but nothing in those bazillion records there hinted that Jack was gone. An Uncle INSISTEDthat he new Jack so this meant (to me) that Jack did not die until Uncle Clarence was old enough to remember him - at least 1930.Family lore had it that Jack taught Grandma how to take photo graphs......
OK, I know I am rambling, but seeing your posting was like hitting the proverbial lottery.
Would you be willing to share information????
I am awaiting your reply!!!!!
A (distance) cousin,
Kitty Ives
