Variations on the spelling of Bilby

While searching the Bilbrey family tree, I have come across various spellings. In the "Book of English Surnames" it appears my own name, Bilbrey, is a variation of Bilborough from the little town of that name in Nottingham England between Tadcaster and York. Other variations in the cemetary at Bilborough are, "Bilbro," "Bilby," "Bilbery," "Bilberry," and so on.
Have any of the researchers of the family tree found any common connections other than the cemetary at Bilborough?
Incidentally, it seems "we" have our own college of Bilborough. You can check it out at http://www.bilborough.ac.uk
Peace,
Jim Bilbrey of Columbus, Indiana
