I am just starting to do family traces and see there is another Carol already in here. I saw your message and would like to know if your GG William has the middle name of Oscar. My father was Wilfred Bigsby, his father was Willard, his father I don't have the first name for but know all 3 had the middle name of Oscar. We know that he was a union soldier in the Civil War and then all trace of him was lost. My records show he married someone known only as Grandma Heffernon from Holland. I have some old pictures of her and all show her that name. My great grandfather was supposed to be from either Canada or England. Thanks for any help you can give me.
