Hi Stephanie. Horace Bigsby of African-American descent is shown in the Chicago 1930 census data. .

Bigsby, Horace, 24, born in SC, parents born in SC, married to Ruby Bigsby, 19, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia. They're living with her mother, Tommie Upson, and a bunch of relatives and others people including a John Bigsby shown as "roomer".

This could be the same Horace Bigsby whose Social Security Death Index listing I sent you a few years back showing him born in 1904 and dying in NJ.

Source: 1930 US Federal Census, Chicago, Cook County, IL. Microfilm roll T626-419, page 6B. Available online from Ancestry.com (paid membership required.)

Regards -- Jim
