Dear Donna, If you can send me what you have on the Walter from Canada, it may very well be William's father. Rolland was supposed to have written a book called " The life of Walter and Hattie Bixby". I also have been posting more information as I come upon it. I have William's birthdate from his Civil War records as Montreal, Canada 1838. My family says they arrives in Trois Riveres, Canada. Records also indicate that Wm lived in Evergreen Twnshp Sanilac Co. MI and address was Lyre, Sanilac Co. MI.
I am looking at information that puts his sister Georgianna being born in Petersville, Queens, New Brunswick (unproved). Also Chester may have been born in Shiawanasee Co. MI 09-08-1870. The dates are from Isabellas Pension application. Still Looking! Susan
