His father was Aaron Biggs, eldest son of Joel Biggs of Brunswick Co, VA. There was a Freeman Biggs in Brunswick Co or Halifax Co., VA that I am sure is connected to this family. Joel had brothers but I don't know much about his family yet. Another common name to the family was Sterling, another surname from Southern VA. It is puzzlingly interesting.
