Since my last posting I have found information which connects my gr-gr-grandfather and all his siblings. We only have birthdates for 4 of them, but it looks like James Freeman wasn't one of them, because he would only be 6 months younger than one of his sisters. See the following children of Josiah Biggs & Mahala Garrison
(not necessarily in order)
1. Elizabeth Piatt Biggs
2. Hiram Biggs
3. James Biggs
4. Josiah Biggs, b: 2/5/1823, Ohio (my gr-gr-grandfather)m: Sarah Whitaker 2/6/1845 (Sarah died 4/6/1847) m: Sarah Ann Rose, 1/6/1851. (Sarah died aft 1861 in Kansas)
5. Lemuel Jefferson Biggs
6. Sarah Ellen Biggs
7. Mary Ann Biggs b: 3/4/1825 , Ohio, m: Thomas Jefferson Grant 7/17/1845 in Knox Cty, ILL
8. George Washington Biggs, b: 3/15/1833
9. Daniel Dutton Biggs, b: 1/27/1836, m: Ruth E McIntosh 9/29/1870

I have located 1 other James Biggs who was born in Ohio, this is the information on him. B: 1836 in Knox Co, Ohio. m: Susannah Lauderbaugh, 11/19/1859 in Knox Co, Ohio. So, this 2nd James Biggs may be the one who was a brother to Josiah Biggs.

Many people in those days named their children after their brothers & sisters. I don't know all the names of Josiah and Sarah's children, there were 7 boys and 2 girls, but he for sure had a James and a George, named after 2 of his brothers. At the time of his death in 1899, he was survived by 3 sons and a daughter. I don't know which daughter, but the three sons were James Allen, John Albert, and George D. Biggs.

That's all I have for now.
Hope some of this helps in some way.
