What data do you have on the other likely Rolla/Rollie who was in your Rollie's neighborhood? Is he the Rolla described below, from West Frankfort and Orient in Franklin County?

RootsWeb's WorldConnect Project shows a submission claiming Rolla "Rollie" Biggs, b 31 Mar 1904, d Mar 1979 Orient, Franklin Co IL, son of Samuel and Hattie Biggs, married Mamie McRoy, b 2 Jul 1902 Murphysboro IL, d 19 Apr 1929, bur Hiller-Crab Orchard Cem, Murphysboro. Documentation needs to be produced to prove such a marriage ever took place.

1910 Franklin Co IL census shows at West Frankfort the household of Samuel and Hattie Biggs with son Rolley, age 5.

Franklin Co marriages show Rollie Biggs, son of Sam Biggs, married Enis Ronchetto 6/1/1925. Rollie and Enis are found in the 1930 W Frankfort census with no children. SSDI shows Enis Biggs b 12 Jan 1908, d 24 Sep 1999, last residence West Frankfort. Looks like Rollie and Enis were divorced and he remarried.

Findagrave.com shows tombstone in Denning Cem, Orient, Franklin Co IL, of Rolla Biggs, b 31 Mar 1904, d 2 Mar 1979. Buried with wife Gladys [Dawson] Biggs, b 29 Apr 1910, d 22 Aug 1988.

Intelius.com shows a Rollie Biggs, age 109, at Granite City. Not impossible he's still living, but I suspect he's the guy you're looking for who died in 1986. He would have been born around 1901.

The name Marion Biggs shows up in Murphysboro in 1910, and Marion aka William B's second wife Ella (Gulley) Biggs and her children show up in Murphysboro in 1918. Your Rollie and wife Mamie show up there in 1920. Luther, Ernest, Rollie and Effie died in Granite City. Clyde and Eugene died in Franklin County, where Ella had gone to live with her parents by 1920.

Rolla's (b 1904) father, Samuel Guy Biggs, b 28 or 21 Jun 1883, was the son of James and Clarinda Biggs, who are listed in the 1900 census of Herrin, Williamson Co IL.
