I was very interested in the James Harvey Biggs in Jennings Co., Indiana that you mentioned went by the name Harve and had a son named Silas. I believe my gggrandfather married his wife Margaret Spencer in Jennings Co., Indiana. Any information that you have concerning this James Harvey Biggs would be much appreciated. James son Silas was born in Indiana in 1842. James H. Biggs moved his family to around Boone, Iowa in about 1855.
Silas served with the Tenth Regiment Iowa Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War. Silas Biggs and Mary Alice Pierce were married on June 19, 1863 in Boone County, Iowa. Their children were George Biggs, Lenora Biggs, and my grandfather Frank M. Biggs.
Frank M. Biggs married Bertha E. Todd, daughter of Thomas J. Todd and Sarah Harlow. Their children were Beatrice Louise Biggs who married Harry Everett Greeson, Gaylord Biggs who died in infancy in 1898, and my mother Patricia Marcella Biggs who married Lyle Howard Wilson.
