I would say your James Biggs was one of the sons of Josiah Biggs, Jr and Mahala Porter Garrison.
Josiah Jr was b: May, 1794 in Ohio, and d: Dec 1844, Warren County, IN. Mahala Garrison was b: June 13, 1791 in NJ. Other children of Josiah JR were:
Mahala Elizabeth Biggs, b: 1817
Hiram Biggs, b: 1819,
James Biggs- your ancestor?, b: 1821
Josiah Biggs III, - my ancestor, b: 1823, Clinton Co, OH
Mary Ann Biggs, b: 1825, OH
Isaiah Biggs,
