I'm not sure if this has anything to do with your line, but I have a William T. Biggs b1859 with a daughter Mary, I see that your Cathcart married a Mary Biggs, any way, I then have a Frank Cathcart who I couldnt figure out where he came from, he was raised by Lafayette Clouse and Mary Elizabeth Edwards Clouse he was born 1-8-1848 in Ohio and she was born 5-14-1878. The reason I think this may be some kind of link is because I have alot of Biggs marrying Clouse's, and for a Clouse to raise a Cathcart, seem's like it could be a connection.
