Mary Bigges m. 1657 Joseph Jordan
FamilySearch (LDS) records show entries for this marriage in Stepney and Chigwell. Vice Admiral Sir Joseph Jordan appears to have been living in Chigwell until 1666 (parish registers for death of son John and baptism of son Lake - suspected mistranscription of [Hear]toake).
Was Chigwell considered part of the larger borough of Stepney? Was Jordan from Chigwell and Bigges from Stepney? Any connection with the 16th C explorer an writer Walter Bigges (see: http://www.philological.bham.ac.uk/bigges/intro.html )?
Does anyone have any further information?
