In 1910 John H. Biggs was a lumber grader in St. Albans, Kanawha Co WV. He was listed as age 47 KY KY KY; wife Mary D. was listed as 43 KY KY KY. The 1920 census of Campbell Co TN shows John H. Biggs, age 56 KY KY PA, lumberman in lumber mill, wife Mollie G. 52 KY KY KY, payroll clerk in lumber mill. Four boarders in household: one cook and three lumber mill laborers. Next entry was family of Mathew L. and Naoma Spencer, both b West Virginia. Mathew was superintendent of lumber company. Note that in 1920 the birthplace of John's mother is given as PA. A submission to RootsWeb's WorldConnect Project shows John Humphreys Biggs as the son of Thomas Naylor Biggs and wife Eleanor Humphreys of Greenup Co KY. 1880 Greenup Co census shows "Ellen", wife of Thomas Biggs, as born in Pennsylvania. 1920 CENSUS, KANAWHA CO WV, Cabin Creek NILE G. Biggs (listed as Easton in WorldConnect submission) was living at the time of WWI, he might be listed in Ancestry.com's WWI draft card database, which could show his residence in 1917 or 1918, as well as his exact date of birth.
