1880 CENSUS, OSBORNE CO KS
Winfield Twp, 23Jun1880
ED 217, Page 19 (stamped page 357)

B*GGS, R. R. 61 OH OH OH farmer
Catherine wife 25 VA VA VA
Robert son 2 KS OH VA
Orion MORGAN stepson 7 KS OH VA

Family is indexed as Boggs, but it's quite likely the family of Robert R. and Catherine (Rutledge) Biggs. The second letter of R. R.'s surname is unclear, the clerk having first written R. R. and then changed it Biggs, R. R. The o for "Boggs" is actually the bottom of the changed second capital R. Robert should be listed as around 56 if born in 1824, and Catherine as 31, but it's not unusual to find ages on the census off by several years. "Orion" may be Ora, but why the name Morgan instead of Darling?

I'm not related to this family, only curious about Robert R. Biggs' Ohio connection.
