See the writings of Francis Sexton "Frank" Biggs, son of Joseph J. Biggs, in Joan Spiker's message at

http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/BIGGS/1998-09/0905907010

It states there that Joseph John Biggs was a cousin of Kader Biggs, with whom he was in partnership at Norfolk in the 1850's and '60's.

Says Joan Spiker is great-great-great-granddaughter of James Biggs of Edgecombe Co NC. He moved to Tennessee late in life and died there on the farm of his son Davis Biggs in 1859. James' son Joseph John Biggs wrote some of his remembrances of his father James and said he was the son of John Biggs of Edgecombe Co who died in 1789.
