My Biggs line and family history come from Joplin MO. My parents were born and raised in that area, and my family roots are firmly planted there! I have many family members still living in Joplin, MO. My Biggs connection is on my mother's side. Her g-grandfather was LARKIN BIGGS (b. 1837 TN, d. 1919 Goodman, MO). His children were Martha "Mattie" Biggs, Mary "Mollie" Biggs, and Frank Biggs. There may have been other children that I don't have recorded. Larkin's father was ADAM BIGGS. On the 1850 Newton County, MO census, Adam Biggs (b. 1797 NC) and his wife, Sarah (b. 1797 NC), were listed with their sons: David Biggs (age 23), Andrew J. Biggs (age 17), Larkin Biggs (age 13), and Alfred Biggs (age 10). All sons were listed as born in TN. (I think that Adam and Sarah probably had more children that were grown and moved out of the house at the time of the 1850 census.) There were two other Biggs families on the 1850 census in Newton County, and possibly brothers to Adam Biggs: 1) JOSEPH BIGGS 2) JOHN BIGGS Taking all this data into account, there is a strong possibility that your line connects somehow into my line. Hope all this helps you in some way!
