Has there been found any evidence that Richard Bigge, father of John Bigge of Lower Norfolk Co., Va. whose dau. Katherine married Thomas Mercer, was married to Lady Phebe Lay and son of Richard Bigge and Anne Juxon of St. Giles in the Fields, Middlesex, Eng.
John Bigge named three of his daughters, Phebe, Ann, and Dorothy, all names associated with the Lay and Juxon families.
Also the names Biggs-Bigge and Diggs-Digge are sometimes interchanged, ie Biggs for Diggs and vise versa and Digge for Bigge and vise versa, ect. So don't rule out any Diggs-Digge-Degge people in Lower Norfolk Co., Va. at that time as being members of this Bigg-Bigge family.
