Looking for B.F. Biggs.

He performed the marriage of Mary Lane and William Keith on Nov. 19, 1865, in the home of Elisha B. Lane.

My grandfather was Ephraim Biggs Lane. I am wondering if Biggs is a family name as it is also Elisha's middle initial. I am hoping someone out there knows what B.F. stands for so that I can do more research.
