Good to hear from you Allen. Yes, Mahaly was married to Anderson BIGGERS who was born abt. 1803 in Virginia. Genealogical Records: Early Kentucky Settlers, 1700s-1800s Kentucky Probate and Church Records, Vol. II, Mason County Estates, Page 71 1839 Anderson BIGGERS. Do you know her maiden name?
1850 Census: Mahaly BIGGERS Image 44 Ancestry.com 41 y.o. born in VA as were the following children: Chateton 22, farmer, Eliza Jane 17, Sarah 14, Phebe 12 and Emily 8. All girls attended school.
There was an 1856 Court Documents/Land Dispute between Mahaly BIGGERS and Thirman POLLACK over land boundaries. Defendant Mahaly BIGGERS is listed as living on land where "her last husband Anderson Biggers" died. Land bordered Garland BIGGERS' land.Document lists land division within the family and POLLOCK. Provides for Emily BIGGERS and Sarah F. BIGGERS. Daughter Eliza Jane was married to Thomas A. POLLACK Sept. 21, 1853 in MASON Co.
Which of Anderson and Mahala's children do you descend from? I have that she died 1878 in McLean or Tazewell Co. IL at home of R.D. DYE who was related in some way. Martha Ann CLIFT, d/o relative Nelson CLIFT was married to a Hiram DYE. The CLIFTS were related to the BIGGERS through the marriage of Garland's daughter Catherine "Kittie" BIGGERS and her husband Benjamin Bassett CLIFT who married May 18, 1844 in Mason Co. Let me hear more from you.
