There is another name in the Bigelow Family Bible that is hard to read. It is either "Alman" or "Abram" Bigelow. His date of death is recorded as December 4, 1868 at the age of 72, making his date of birth around 1796. Could he possibly be William Henry Bigelow's older brother?
In the 12 June 1880 Federal Census of Bellmont, NY, William Henry Bigelow is listed as age 58 which would make his birthdate 1822. His occupation is listed as a steam boat engineer.
