MEJPA and DeAnne, I am glad for your help. John Chandler's basic question is: whom did our earliest American ancestor John Bigelow (1617-1703) at age 77 marry:
A) the old widow Sarah Bemis (age 75?) who was a widow with "considerable property".
OR
B) the beautiful young maiden Sarah Bemis who was the widow's penniless daughter.
I don't know the answer yet. But I strongly suspect that is will be the beautiful young maiden. I say this, and I know that many will nod in agreement with me, because:
A] We know that John's Bigelow's estate was 2 or 3 times the estate of the wealthy old widow, and
B) We know Bigelows.
To Be continued...
