John, I don't know the answer. It looks as if you have thought about this for a while. I am surprised that no one has responded, or tried to answer your question. It may be that no one knows. It is an unusual question for Genforum; a better answer might be found in a scholarly journal. However since John Bigelow would be "the first" and our earliest ancestor on American soil, someone should know or try. Come on fellow Bigelow scholars and family historians, what is the answer? O.K. I guess I'll give it some thought too. Good Luck!!!
