Deborah

I have some of the answers regarding the locations of George W Bierce and his brother Frank.

George W Bierce (born March 15, 1871)was my great uncle. His sister, Belle (born Oct 20 1867), was my grandmother. She had lived with my parents, Elizabeth (Stair) and William S Woodbridge in Cleveland, Ohio, until her death Feb 3, 1950. When she died, George moved in with us, where he remained until his death, Sept 1, 1962. He is buried in Lakeview Cemetary in Cleveland in the family burial plot with the Holden side of the family. He never married nor had any children. (I was the closest there was to being his child as I grew up with him until I married in 1962).

His brother, Frank, (born June 29, 1876) was killed July 27, 1936 by lightening while working on the railroad. As far as I know, he never married, nor had any children.

You mentioned a family bible. I am not aware of any while I grew up, but I will see if anyone in my family is aware of one or had ever seen it. My uncle was very active with the Historical Society and Cleveland Museum of Art and there is a strong possibility that it could have ended up there.

Another thing I have are letters from Columbus, William Wallace, Ann Darst etc. written before, during, after their marriages. I am in the process of putting them on the computer and reproducing them to make them more legible for "quick reading". I am curious about what other items are up in Oregon that you mentioned. It would be interesting to see if other letters exist and perhaps a more complete continuity could be made with their lives. You might have some of the items that are missing from our family albums.

Where are you located? I live in Reno, Nevada, so getting to Oregon is not that far for us. What part of Oregon is all the information stored?
