Does anyone know the background and possible descendants of Lt. John Bibby (Some local history buffs have spelled it Biddy- so I'm not sure which is correct) He was a Loyalist under the command of Ferguson at Kings Mountain. He along with about 30 others were tried and convicted for various crimes against the patriot cause after being taken prisoner in the battle. He was one of the nine hung as a result at the Biggerstaff Farm near Sunshine in Rutherford County NC.
