Hi, my name is Sharon Ann Biddle Engel Harris. I am searching for my family information. My father's name - Francis Earl Biddle Jr.- born August 15, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA.- he died July 17, 1977 in Downey, CA. His mother was Mary Frances Walker Biddle Schliffer Garrabrant - born August 13, 1899 in Marshall, MO. She died Dec 23, 1980. His father was Francis Earl Biddle - born -believe the date was Feb 15, 1899 in Philadelphia PA - died July 5, 1941 possibly in Long Beach, CA or that area.
My father's brother's (my uncle) name is James Grayson Biddle. He was born on Dec 28, 1935, in Philadelphia, PA.
My grandmother - Mary Frances parents: Father - James Addison Walker (don't have dates of birth/death), he was once President of Madison Bank in Marshall, MO. Her mother - Mary Grace (again no dates), from what I understand she sang in the Opera (not sure) and then married James Addison Walker. Not much to go on there.
I know this is lengthy, but just trying to put as much info out there as I can. I also had an Aunt "Jo" her name was Edna Mae Cook, lived in Germantown, PA. - however, I don't know which side of the family she was related to.
I know that my grandmother was involved in Eastern Star. I am not sure when my dad and his family came to California, possibly around 1940. I remember my grandmother lived in Long Beach, CA for quite sometime. Then she moved to Yucca Valley, CA.
Hope someone out there has some information. I would really like to find out about my father's side - Biddle.
