I am an historic preservationist, who is spearheading the effort to preserve and adaptively re-use the last remaining resident of Dr. Benjamin RUSH, signer of the Declaration of Independence, Rev. War veteran, founder of Dickinson College, early abolitionist, and "father" of American psychiatry. To that end I am trying to trying to contact as many Rush descendants as possible, in hopes of raising an interested community, which would be willing to speak in favor of preserving the Rush house. One of Dr. Rush's granddaughter's, Julia RUSH, married Alexander BIDDLE and produced seven children. I need to know about the possible descendants of Julia RUSH and Alexander BIDDLE. JULIA WILLIAMS8 RUSH [SAMUEL(7), BENJAMIN(6), JOHN(5), JAMES(4), WILLIAM(3), JOHN "OLD TROOPER"(2), UNKMALE(1)] was born 28 Nov 1832 in Philadephia, Pennsylvania, and died 08 Aug 1898 in Lanoraie, Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She married ALEXANDER BIDDLE 11 Oct 1855. Children of JULIA RUSH and ALEXANDER BIDDLE are: i. ALEXANDER WILLIAMS9 BIDDLE, b. 04 Jul 1856; m. ANNE MCKENNAN, 19 Jul 1879. ii. HENRY RUSH BIDDLE, b. 15 Mar 1858; d. 02 Jan 1877, Lanoraie, Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. iii. JULIA RUSH BIDDLE, b. 25 Jul 1859; d. 24 Feb 1885. iv. JAMES WILMER BIDDLE, b. 22 Nov 1861; m. CORA ROWLAND, 04 Feb 1891. v. LOUIS ALEXANDER BIDDLE, b. 12 Mar 1863. vi. MARIAMNE BIDDLE, b. 08 Nov 1865. vii. LYNFORD BIDDLE, b. 26 Aug 1871.
