I would like to announce that a BIDDLE Y-chromosome DNA Surname Project has been started at FamilyTreeDNA:

The project is open to any reasonable spelling variation of the name, such as, BIDDELL, BIDELL, BIDLE, BEDELL, BEADLE, BITTLE, BEEDLE, BEADLES, BIDLE, BEADELL, BEEDLES, etc.
Y-DNA testing is a powerful tool that can be used to support existing pedigrees and to break through brick walls, where paper has failed to go.
Only males have a Y-chromosome, so only males can be tested, and only males surnamed BIDDLE/etc. can meaningfully join the BIDDLE project. If you are female, you will need to find a male relative, surnamed BIDDLE/etc., to be tested on behalf of your line. I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have.
