Hi Gwen,
I just read your post about looking for photos.
My sister {half} is Bicknell - and she doesn't have a single photograph of her Bicknell ancestors.
I am wondering if you know of anyone who has photos of the Bicknell's/Becknells listed below:
1.William Bicknell bornc 1714 Amherst, Virginia, married to Susannah Cash[spouse # 2]
2.Micajah Bicknell born c 1755, married to Phoebe Ann Landrum
3.James Bicknell born c 1801, married to Frances/Francis Hoskins
4.Micajah Alexander Bicknell born c 1824, married to Frances
5.John L. Bicknell born 1851, Blount Co, TN, married to Sarah Justice
6.Jesse A. Bicknell born 1880 Blount Co, AL, married to Pearl Friday
Since I have a computer and am online, I am putting her genealogy package together and am going to get it copied at Kinko's. I will include photos of her - and it would sure be great if I had something of her ancestor's images to include, too.
I would like to do this in a big way for her, as she is my sister and she would be so happy to get something like this.
Also, I read the story on the "On Beacon Hill" website about William Becknell and the Santa Fe Trail... do you happen to know "which" William Becknell the story is about?
If you know of anyone else who might by remote chance be able to help me wit hthe photo request (copies of anything, even newspaper articles, etc) would be appreciated to much. I would be happy to accept something emailed, or even something I could purchase would be great too.
Thank you in advance for your help. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Pleas if you can tell me how to "post" this request on the web or the "On Beacon Hill" website, I would like to be able to do that also.
Thank you again!
