I have a Samuel Bicknell from NC, birthdate unknown with son named Randolph. Randolph had a son named Pleasant born in 1803. Pleasant's son, John Wesley, appears to have moved to Iowa where his son, William Henry was born in 1856. William moved to Ohio and died there in 1927. Wonder if there is any connection as I get "stuck" in NC with them.
