Regarding the family of Thomas Jefferson Payne b. 1805 in Virginia and Lavina Bickmore b. 1810 in Maine. They married 3 Apr 1828 in Turtle Creek, Warren, Ohio. I have 11 children listed for them, John Wallace, Clarissa, Susan, George, Sedate, Granville, Martha, Leonidas, Alfred, Theodore, Mary, all born in Warren County, Ohio. This family is listed on the 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880 census, in Warren County, Ohio. Check for the name Jefferson Payne in the 1850 and 1870 census. Check for Thomas Payne in the 1860 and 1880 census. Lavina Pain is listed on the 1900 census in Warren County, Ohio.

I have a Sydney Jennings b. 1842 in Indiana married to George Rodney Payne on 10 Mar 1864 in Warren County, Ohio. Also have there family of 8 children.
