George Washington Warner Bickham was born 23 Feb 1854 in MS and d. 13 May 1909. He is buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Brookhaven, Lincoln Co, MS. He was married (1st) on 11 Sep 1879 in Copiah Co, MS to Mary Mollie Pearson. She was born 13 Oct 1859 and died 26 Oct 1889. He was married (2nd) to Mamie Andrews. She was born 30 Sep 1872 in MS and died 13 Oct 1927. She is buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Brookhaven, Lincoln Co, MS. She was married second to a Mr Adcock. George Washingon Warner Bickham was the son of William F Bickham and Sarah Jane Harriet Warner. Sarah Jane Harriet Warner was the daughter of Daniel Cargill Warner and Matilda Bickham. She was born 1830 and died 1854. She was married on 15 Jun 1851 in Copiah Co, MS to William F Bickham. William F Bickham was the son of James Bickham. He was born 1832 in MS. He was married (2nd) on 9 Nov 1857 in Copiah Co, MS to Matilda Warner a sister of his first wife. James Bickham was the son of William Bickham and Mary. He was born 1800 and died 1835. I don't have the name of his wife. William Bickham was born 1769 in Burke Co, GA and died 1817 in St Tammany Parish, LA. He was the son of James Beckham and Mary Hackney. James Beckham was born before 1753 in Granville Co, NC. He was the son of William Beckham and Nancy Ann Green. Most of the Bickham families in Louisiana disagree that this James Beckham was the father of William Bickham. When William Bickham and his brothers went to first Mississippi Territory and then into Louisiana they changed their name to Bickham. I have never found out why they changed their names. Abner Bickham also went to Mississippi Territory and then to Louisiana. During the Revolutionary War he was listed as Abner Beckham and served as a Captain. He was a brother to James Beckham who married Mary Hackney. The Louisiana Bickhams claim that he was a brother to your William Bickham, but I know he was an uncle. There are several books written on the Bickham Families of Louisiana, copies are located in the public Library in Franklinton, Washington Parish, LA. My wife and I visited there a few years ago and copied a lot of infomation. The Bickham family takes up over 500 pages in my book of over 3,000 on the Beckham Families of America. I have no information beyond the children of your George Washington Warner Bickham. If you care to share your records with me I would be grateful. I would like to bring your geneology up to date with mine.
