Norris Bickford - Smithfield, ME in 1850

The 1850 Census for Smithfield, Maine shows a Norris Bickford age 10 living with Moses and Polly Bickford. Does anyone have any idea who this is or what happened to him. Is he a son of Moses & Polly; this seems unlikely as Polly would have been over 50 at the time of birth?
