Appreciated your history on Thomas and Isabelle. Please allow me to share additional information. Bedlardton Northumbershire should be corrected to Bedlington, Northumberland. Also, William Bickerton, son of Thomas and Isabella, married Dortha Brynathy. Their children were James, Ann Eliza, Clara Virginia, Angelina, Josephine and Florance; all except James born in West Elizabeth PA. Sometime before 1875, William remarries. Charlotte Hibbs had been the landlady to William's brothers Richard and John in West Elizabeth. She and William had no children. When William dies in St. John Kansas, Ann Eliza (nee Cardwell) of Monroe Iowa, witnessed his will. Other heirs were: James and his daughter, Alma of West Elizabeth; Clara's sons Walter and William (she had died); Josephine and Angelina. Other Bickertons we've spoken with didn't know about Dortha; and denied the existence of my great grandmother, Josephine. It appears she was ostracized when she married a Catholic, and was written out of local family memory. Sad. But true. vr Emily
