I am descended from John BICKEL (b. ca. 1824 in PA, probably Snyder County). He married Elizabeth ---. They lived for a time in McKee Half Falls, a city along the Susquehanna River and just north of Juniata/Perry Counties. I am searching for my John BICKEL's parents and siblings, too. It looks like he could be a brother to your Henry. John BICKEL had a daughter, Mary Agnes, who married William Willaba ZIEGLER. The ZIEGLERS traveled the river quite often between Northumberland, Snyder, and Perry Counties.
