Please help. Seeking information on ancestry of my grgr grandfather Edward Bickel, b in PA 16 March 1809, married Ann (or Anna) Sallade, resided in Dauphin Co PA with his family and is buried in Dauphin Co. His daughter, Matilda b.1846 or 1848,is my gr grandmother; she married Isaac Kembel or Kemble of Northumberland Co. Also living in Edward's household in 1860 were Simon Bickel, born abt 1842, and Henry W. Bickel,born abt 1851; presumably they were Edward's sons. Living next to them were Tobias and Juliana Bickel, both born abt 1840. This Tobias or his wife/widow may have moved to Northumberland Co. later.
I suspect Edward is descended from either Tobias "the Moravian" b. 1711 or another Tobias "of Tulpehocken", but I can't make the connection without knowing Edward's paternity and or his grandfather. The Bickels are a much larger and more complicated family than I originally thought.
