I am researching a Smith family from Northumberland/Union/Snyder counties in PA. Allegedly, Michael Smith of Union County married Sophia Bickel/Bickle. Dates of Michael's birth unknown but somewhere between 1790 and 1810 (based on his father's age). Family folklore has it that Sophia's father was killed by Indians.
Do you have any additional information on your Sophia? "Michael Smith" data is plentiful but hard to segregate into specific family lines.
