Hi Susanne and Miny. Sorry to be so unavailable for so long. We have moved twice in the last couple of years and for the last year and a half, we have been running two general stores on the shores of Mid-Coast Maine...a 24/7 job, a great adventure! We just moved back to Worthington, Ohio and have gone into retirement...at least for a while. So as soon as I can get settled, I will have more time for my favorite hobby...genealogy! I will also be closer to my Bice family and the Bice family in Dayton, that came from Cornwall and Marquette, MI. How very interesting that you found some info on Hercules connection. I definately want to follow up on that.
If you remember, Susanne, you helped me make the connection to the Carne family in Cornwall when I ran across a Carne cousin, Tom Carne, in Portland, Maine. He is now in Connecticut and I have his email address. He has a rather elaborate genealoy that has been put to paper, but it is very confusing to read and, because of it's size and dark color, not possible to copy. Nevertheless, I gleaned and put together the data from you, Tom, internet sources, etc. and can share that with you both, if that would help at all with your searches. I just have to find it! I still have a lot of unpacking to do, so please be patient with me.
By the way, I also have a Bice uncle in his 80s quite interested in delving into the Bice genealogy. He is probably Sampson's oldest living grandson. His name is William Bice.
